Barranquilla, COLOMBIA in DEC, 2008
Our friend Robert Suarez, Church of God Overseer of Bolivia, recommended our ministry to the Northern Territory Overseer of Colombia. We were excited to be invited and during the planning events for Venezuela, I came over to Colombia to see how it would go. I was a little discouraged because it had turned out that we did not have much time to plan the event and also there were not enough Church of God churches to handle our desire to Train 300 Teachers. Upon arriving I contacted the Foursquare Overseers in Bogata and asked if they would like to participate in the Training. They agreed and then I asked how many churches they had. To my surprise they had 1800 churches in the country, with near half in the Northern Region. I knew then that we could get enough Teachers to attend. And then I had an added confirmation that this was the Lord. When I arrived in Barranquilla, we contacted the Northern Territory Overseer for Foursquare and he asked for us to come over to a hotel to talk to him. It was a little unusual that we would meet in a hotel, but I thought, "Why not". Upon arriving I realized that on that very day there was a reunion of all the Northern Territory Foursqaure Pastors at that hotel. When the Overseer heard what we had planned he then added us into the Schedule for the following day to announce the plans for our event. PTL ! Wow, I did not even have to plan anything and God had me there on the exact day. With enthusiasm, we are anticipating a Great Conference in Barranquilla the first week of December.
